The run around

Ok this is so stupid, now its mid May for a default hearing, they told me mid March, before that was mid February, before that was mid January, can you see the pattern... they really suck with their "we gotta make a trace" i've been telling them over and over that he lives with Richelle Bellis, he has no bank account, doesn't do his taxes, and he has no ID
They are giving me the run around, I think I will make a complaint!

are you kidding me?

Since November, they(Family Maintenance Enforment Program of BC) gave me hope to have him appear in court for a default hearing, I messaged and bugged them every month, just to be pushed to the next month, only to find out, that now I can have my default hearing, now that they are waiting with the papers only to find out it's hopeless because I don't have a known recent address. Are u kidding me? isn't their job to find him and make him pay, why this loop hole. I bet I can go to BC right now and find him. I  wonder where these laws came from or what idiot made them.

stupid FMEP

I wrote:"I don't understand why its been pushed til Feb 2012, I've been waiting since Nov 2011 for a default hearing.
i should be first on the list since he owes me over $77 000.00 in back child support. Isn't there anything I can do to make this important to you to place an urgency on this file??"

They answered: A message has been left for your Enforcement Officer to see if file can be reviewed for default hearing. As the Enforcement Officer deals with hundreds of files it can take some time before it is reviewed. Thank you.

Let's say it takes about uhmmm....8yrs!!!! and a total of over $77000 owed

default hearing?

They promised that my account would be reviewed for a default hearing in September, then October, then mid November, and then yesterday they told me it wouldn't be reviewed till February. Is that it now, they will just keep pushing it back til I give up? FMEP sucks they don't care about the individual.

disgusting goverment

I've been keeping in touch with bc family maintenance now for three month, pushing for some action. in September they say I'll have a review to get court action in mid October, October comes and they tell me now mid December. Its like they are doing by purpose so they dont need to do anything, sad FMEP!

OMG! Berate the goverment!

I sent an email to FMEP (Family Maintenance Enforcement Program) and I ask if any new info on my default hearing. They tell me there was none?? I told her I was pretty sure I requested one in February, they say no, so I had to resend messages I texted in February to proove we had that conversation....idiots.
I had to request a default hearing two days ago, wasted almost 5 months, sometimes I wonder about these guys. The communication is so vague, I hate to berate the goverment but come on, give me a reason not to.

no use :(

I asked:
"The default hearing is between FMEP and the payor? how will you contact or get the payor to appear in front of a judge?, is there gonna be a warant out for his arrest?"
My FMEP officer says;
"If we decide to do a default hearing we would have the payor served by the sheriff to attend court. If the Payor is served to attend court and does not attend then we may try to have a bench warrant issued for his arrest"
My response:
"Please advice me to which sherrif it goes to, thank you"
FMEP:
"Please note that wherever the order is filed, is where the default hearing documents would be forwarded."
ME:
'Can you advise me where its going to be, or are you going to send me a copy of all the action taken, results and copies of all papers?
This matter is of great importance to me, there is a limited time to do this, as he is moving this summer. My appology if I seem a little pushy"

FMEP:
"You will need to call or check our website for information on court. There is not guarantee we will have matter in court before the summer as it depends on the availability of the court. Thank you"

Now what, I contact the courts?

should canada's laws be changed?
